The Company Of Wolves is one of the bands that were highly underrated
during their existance. Nobody really cared about their debut album, but
now its too late! They dont exist anymore. 10 years after
the breakup, singer Kyf Brewer has released a compilation of old demo
tracks which are really worth seeing the light of day! The songs are mainly
from 1988 to 1990 and have a great sound. Just like on their debut album,
the Company Of Wolves convince with traditional, old-school hard rock.
Anyone who has never heard of this band should try to grab a copy of the
officially released debut album on Polygram Records. But this compilation
is also worth a listen. Try to contact Kyf Brewer on his homepage: www.kyf.com

COMPANY OF WOLVES - Shakers & Tamborines (Ryf Records, 1998)
This is sure a weird indie. A brand new CD by Kyf Brewer and
his men in Company Of Wolves. And new. . .hmmm . . . this is
demoes but who gives a f**k when they're in this good shape.
This is a little lighter and more plain AOR than I remember
Company Of Wolves. This collection of demoes get my mind to
think a little about FM, Tangier, Signal and bands in that vein.
Very good actually. I'm surprised to be honest. If you enjoy
pure AOR you have to track this CD down. Have not a freekin'
idea how though. Check out with AOR Heaven - he might know.
Good it is anyway. Pär |
